This holiday home has been lovingly restored by Paul & Isabelle, and is now laid out as a comfortable three bedroom home-from-home. The house faces south and is warm in the winter, and cool in the summer due to the thick stone walls.
The house is set in the quiet hamlet of Les Chaffauds which is only a two minute drive from the village of Sainte Cecile, and 5 minutes from Chantonnay which has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
There is plenty of off-road parking in front courtyard.

The front door leads into a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area, where you can see many of the original features of the house - such as oak beams and stone walls. There is a comfortable seating area, with log burning stove for the winter. The living area also has a TV, DVD player, UK & French free to air satellite channels. Free secure WiFi is available in the house, plus 4G is available for exterior areas, and there is a selection of books and DVDs for your use.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large range cooker with 5 gas burners/2 halogen burners on the hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. There is also a small breakfast bar. The dining table seats up to six guests, and can be extended for up to 10 guests (for when both houses are booked together) and there is plenty of cutlery and crockery for everyone, including plastic utensils for younger children.

From the living area there is a door leading to the gravelled patio area and enclosed garden. There is an al fresco dining area with barbecue, tables and chairs. A great place to watch the sun go down with a glass of the local wine! This large area is shared with guests in our other holiday home, however has separate seating areas.
Upstairs, there are three good sized bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes and bedside tables. One bedroom has a double bed and the other two each have two single beds. A cot can also be provided for younger children.
Please note: No bed linens and hand/bath/tea towels are provided during your stay - so you will need to bring your own linens and towels. Pillows, duvets and mattress protectors are provided.

The hallway is light and airy and leads to the shower room and separate WC. Stair gates are provided for the security of younger children. All rooms have radiators for the cooler months.
