Welcome to La Maison du Soleil, your charming and cozy home away from home in Les Chaffauds near to Sainte Cecile in the Vendée, France.

Our two-bedroom cottage offers a warm and friendly atmosphere that is perfect for couples or small families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Relax in the comfortable living area, prepare delicious meals in the fully-equipped kitchen, or unwind in the garden and soak in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Your knowledgeable hosts are always available to share their local insights and help you plan your visit to the best restaurants, beaches, and tourist attractions, including the famous Puy du Fou park.

The facilities at La Maison du Soleil Holiday Cottage:

Living room: French doors out to the courtyard garden and windows on each side. There is a wood burner for cooler Spring & Autumn nights, and a TV with DVD player and UK and French TV channels. There are 2 sofas for your comfort.

Wi-Fi: The house has free secure FIBRE WiFi internet access inside and a 4G mobile network is available to use outside.

Kitchen: Equipped with an electric oven with grill and gas hob, a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. There is direct access to the garden and barbecue area. There is a dining table and four chairs in the kitchen.

Shower room: with walk-in shower and double hand basin, is located on the ground floor, as is the separate WC.

Bedrooms: Upstairs you will find the two bedrooms. One is a large double bedroom with views over the garden and the other bedroom has two single beds. Both rooms have lots of storage space with a wardrobe and drawers.

For Children: A cot, highchair and stair gate are available for younger children.

Outdoors: From the living area there is a door leading to the gravelled patio area and enclosed courtyard garden. There is an al fresco dining area with barbecue, tables, chairs and a pergola. The main 2 acre garden is laid to grass and is surrounded by hedges - perfect for ball games or letting off steam at the end of the day! There is also a swing set for the kids and a small orchard where you can pick apples and pears in season.
A great place to watch the sun go down with a glass of the local wine!

Pool: The 4.5 metre circular solar heated above ground pool is open from Mid-may until the end of September. It is heated with a system of water pipes using solar power (so the temperature early in the season can be variable depending upon the weather) There are lots of sun loungers surrounding the pool.

Parking: There is an off-road parking area for up to 2 cars to the side of the cottage.

Please note: No bed linens and hand/bath/tea towels are provided during your stay - so you will need to bring your own linens and towels. Pillows, duvets and mattress protectors are provided.

Our two holiday cottages are always reserved together, not individually, so we can cater for up to 10 guests, plus 2 babies, across the two cottages.
